Wine & Spirits Consultant to Gourmet Magazine, Michael Green has worked in the beverage trade for over 20 years in the capacities of educator, marketer, importer, writer, consultant and retailer. A passionate and enthusiastic wine and spirits speaker, Michael’s background in both the beverage world and performing arts come into play in presentations that educate, entertain and inspire audiences. Frequently appearing at conferences, epicurean festivals and charity auctions around the world, Michael also specializes in wine and spirits marketing, brand building, and trade liaison support.

Many wine lovers know Michael’s work with the Food Network’s “Emeril Live,” “Sara’s Secrets” and “Cooking Live.” In addition, he has made numerous broadcast appearances on CNN, CBS Marketwatch, Fox News, NPR and the Fine Living Channel. Publications have also featured Michael’s work, including The New York Times; The Washington Post; Business Week; U.S. News and World Report; Elite Traveler among others. Look for Michael’s wine notes in the book Sara Moulton Cooks at Home, nominated for a James Beard Award.

A member of the Society of Wine Educators and the New York Association of Cooking Teachers, Michael is also on the Boards of Share Our Strength and the American Institute of Wine and Food. He is an alumnus of New York's High School of Performing Arts and a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Virginia. Touring nationally in 2007, Wine Lovers, the world’s first interactive wine tasting musical, was conceived and co-written by Michael Green.
